Hot Honey BBQ Smoked Wings

Sweet and sticky hot honey BBQ smoked wings take your cookout to the next level.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb chicken wings
  • 1 bottle Hot Ones Hot Honey BBQ Sauce
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 Tbsp salt
  • 1/4 Tbsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Pat the wings dry. 
  2. Mix the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper for the rub, then toss the wings until fully coated.
  3. Preheat your smoker to 250°F. 
  4. Place the wings directly on the smoker rack and smoke for 1 hour.
  5. Remove the wings and increase the smoker temperature to 400°F (or move to a hot grill). 
  6. In a large bowl, toss the smoked wings with 6 oz (3/4 cup) of the Hot Ones Hot Honey BBQ Sauce.
  7. Return the glazed wings to the heat until the internal temperature reaches 175°F, flipping occasionally. 
  8. Re-glaze if needed, until the sauce is thick and caramelized.
  9. Serve immediately, with the remaining 1/4 cup of Hot Ones Hot Honey BBQ Sauce on the side for dipping.
